Still The World Turns

She spins so slowly, sultry,
Silver stars streaking sundered skies.
Sighing softly, soulfully, singing so sublime.
Subliminally screaming, shattered,
Shipwrecked she sinks, slipping, spiraling,
Somersaulting sickness settles:
Somehow still smiling, supine.
Such stillness steeled,
Seeking sanctuary, some sliver,
Sonorous shores she swirls
Seas sore so spilling synchronized signs.
Swarming, slashing, strangling, scratching,
Screeching, snarling, snorting, smashing,
Systematically subtracting sacred symphonies.
Somehow still smiling,
She spins so slowly.
